Is my data really private?
Yes. Your documents are encrypted at rest in our database. We don't share them with third parties, we don't sell them, and we don't use your data to train AI models. The AI uses your documents only to answer your own questions, in your own session.
What kinds of documents can I upload?
PDFs (utility bills, manuals, insurance policies, warranties), Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, CSVs, plain text, and images of paper documents. The AI reads all of these and uses them as context for your questions.
How accurate is the AI?
Every answer cites the document it came from. If something can't be found in your documents, the AI says so rather than making it up. You can verify any answer by checking the source it points to.
Can I share my home with my partner or roommate?
Yes — Basic plans support 1 roommate, Pro supports unlimited. Roommates see the same documents, calendar, and memory. They can ask the AI questions just like you can.
What if I cancel?
You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Your data is preserved if you decide to come back, or fully deleted within 30 days if you request it.
Do you have a mobile app?
Ask the House works in any modern browser on your phone, tablet, or computer. A native iOS / Android app is on the roadmap.
What's the demo? Do I need an account?
The demo is a fully populated sample home (the Garcia family in Carlsbad, CA) you can explore without signing up. You'll see real documents, real chat history, the dashboard, the calendar — everything. It's read-only, but it's the fastest way to see if Ask the House is right for you.
